You know in some video games how you have to manage a business or something and you start out small but as time moves forward you expand and become bigger and better?
I am going to do that but with tomatoes
Feel free to pronounce tomato in whatever way is most comfortable to your tongue, I'm not here to discuss them.
I just want to grow them.
You might be thinking I'm being silly, or that I am out of my mind, well whatever. I don't care what you think. Tomatoes are what I care about right now.
Planting them was my number one priority and I knew just the place.
I had previously fenced off a little area in the hope that I could grow an assortment of things.
All that has grown so far has been weeds, and I could see that a tree had fallen on the fenced area during a storm.
This is a huge problem, but I know how to solve it.
One of these machines with the right operator (me) behind it can do incredible things.
So I got to work doing incredible things. Slowly but surely I made a dent in the fallen tree.

As I kept sawing away, I kept thinking how there was nothing that would stop me from embarking on my new venture.
The day was warm and the work was tough, but I didn't waiver, not even for a second.
The tree pile grew larger, and larger.
At last I had cleared enough of this tree to enter the gate but I was tired, and the weather forecast for the next day was also good, so I went to bed and recovered my strength for the trials that lay ahead.

As the new day dawned, I set out to have a look at the place where my tomatoes would grow.
It was truly awful. There were weeds everywhere.
I sprung into action and pulled out every last one of the vile things from their homes and tossed them on the tree pile from earlier.
After all the weeds had gone I turned the soil over using a shovel and started to get real garden vibes from the area.

Armed with the knowledge that tomatoes grow on vines, I thought to give them a nice structure to thrive on.
I settled on the idea of a fence to start with plans to expand as required in the future.
With that in mind, I hammered some metal stakes into the earth and started to unroll the wire fencing I had when I realised that I had made a huge miscalculation.
There was not enough fence to build what I wanted.
This didn't stop me though and the fix was simple, one of the metal stakes needed to be moved and that was all.
More fence material can be bought when I need to expand anyway, no big deal.
It was time to plant my tomatoes and begin the farming era of my life.
This was the only tomato left in the fridge. This tomato will be the one that starts everything.
I sliced it up carefully and took it down to it's new home.

This was it, The tomato pieces looked calm and happy in their new home and I could tell they wanted to sprout as soon as they were able.
Now it was just a waiting game.
I will keep this space updated with the goings on of my tomato farm. Please write in to me if you have ideas on how I could do this better at [email protected]. I'm always looking to improve and would appreciate the feedback.
Thanks so much for reading this and have a wonderful day, whatever it is you do with it.
